This book is structured to reflect a progression from critical reading to creative production. Early chapters engage with frameworks for analyzing poetry through political, ecological, gendered, and postcolonial lenses. These chapters offer both conceptual grounding and close readings of selected texts from Indonesian and world poetry. Midway through this book, we move into the experimental terrain of poetry writing, performance, and multimodal production. Here, students are invited not only to interpret but to speak, perform, and reflect.
